Donna Schertz has a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis on Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Emotional Disturbance, and Specific Learning Disabilities and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. She has provided services to students in a variety of settings, including the public school system, alternative day setting, and residential program setting. Currently she is the Division Supervisor for the Special Education Services Division at the Illinois State Board of Education. Among other leadership responsibilities and roles, she coordinates and oversees the administration of the dispute resolution systems, including the development of the Illinois State IEP Facilitation system.
