Carolyn Mason, MA, JD, is a doctoral student in Special Education at Vanderbilt University. Prior to beginning the doctoral program, Carolyn taught children with behavior and emotional disorders for four years, and practiced special education law in North Carolina and Tennessee for five years. Aside from this experience, Carolyn has facilitated IEP meetings for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Carolyn’s research focuses on effective dispute resolution in special education and educational outcomes for court-involved youth.
