Wendy Watson is a Senior Advocate at The Arc Greater Twin Cities in St. Paul,

Minnesota. She focuses on educational advocacy for children from preschool through transition age. She also mentors and provides technical assistance to other advocates and has developed staff and parent trainings on dispute resolution and special education law and process. Prior to joining The Arc, Wendy worked as a family law attorney and mediator and currently provides pro bono legal assistance to the Children's Law Center of Minnesota. Wendy also taught special education in the Anoka-Hennepin School

District where she later became a behavior analyst. She has a bachelor's degree in Child Psychology and Communication Disorders and a master's in Psychoeducational Studies, both from the University of Minnesota. She received a Juris Doctor degree from Hamline University. Wendy is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association where she is

Vice Chair of the Children and the Law Section. She serves on the Hamline University Board of Trustees. Wendy also sits on the boards of Friends of Children, Metrokids and the Regional Support Council of Lutheran Special Education Ministries.
