Nathan Anderson

Nathan Anderson has a BA degree in social work and MA in special education. He is coordinator of the Navigator Program, supervising 15 part-time Peer Navigator Consultants across the state to provide conflict resolution assistance at the local level. This is a collaborative effort of South Dakota Parent Connection (the state’s PTI) and the state Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs. Before starting this program in 2005, he had been a social worker for 20 years at a private residential and day school in Sioux Falls. Outside of the working world, he is father of four, and grandfather of three. He and his wife have received local and state honors related in part to providing foster care for children with special needs since 1980. Nate is a card-carrying member of Nashville Songwriters Association International.
