Ms. Clayton is a lifelong educator with a career spanning a decade in multiple Texas school districts and twenty years at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the last five years as State Director of Special Education. Her experience provides a universal perspective to school improvement teams as they work to align the interlocking interventions within their improvement plans. During her years as an educator she has worked with parent groups and staff at the district, state, and national level. Her areas of expertise include organizational design and effectiveness, program evaluation, group facilitation, alternate dispute resolution processes, staff development, design thinking, problem solving, coaching and mentoring, and staff assessment systems.
